Ya but having it muted gets kinda boring, sometimes i like to hear some of the chatter it can be funny to hear at times, but its so bad on halo i moved to cod4, you still get it but much much less.

Can't you setup passworded private servers? That's the best way to play.

The reason why there is haters and lovers for halo is because of the video game genre.
Halo is an FPS, and in my opinion, it is the worst fps ever invented. It is slow. Glitchy hitboxes, and more about terrain then gameplay. Terrible jump animations. I don't know. I personally think that out of all of the FPS's that I have played Halo is the most annoying for gameplay. Hell even Resident evil 4 did FPS better and it wasnt even an FPS. Even Metroid Prime did FPS better and it was an adventure more so. That's just my opinion. I would rather play Golden Eye or Perfect Dark then halo. and I HATED Perfect Dark. Halo I can stand. But I just don't think it lives up to what an FPS should really be.

I absolutely loathe Halo (I won't go into details). The only reason I even own a Halo game is because it was 2 dollars at a yard sale. I'd rather play Goldeneye on my Nintendo 64.

Goldeneye > Halo!

There weren't vehicles in Goldeneye multiplayer, Grenades did not stick to you, and best of all, there was none of this "OMG HAXORZ" talk because it was just you and 3 friends (or more if you rotated) and it was before the innovation of online gameplay. Given the choice any given day, I'll play Goldeneye hands down! My decision rests. However, I might give Halo Wars a try because I love the Age Of Empires games made by Ensemble Studios. But that is a Real Time Strategy Game, not a First Person Shooter, so I guess that doesn't really count.

Meh, I've found that its better to just turn off voice communication for competitive games like halo, that and i used to play w/ my friends for the most part, 4 of us vs 4 randoms=Easy wins

But yeah, campaign is very repetitive in 3, still fun to kill some time though...least its not like assassin's creed, fun for the first 10 hours then you are like...the master of it

I agree.. Playing multiplayer is annoying! So much in fact I stopped playing. I think Halo 3 would make a great movie. All the promotional videos for the game had a better story than the actual game. See this... YouTube - Halo 3 John 117 Monument Documentary
