i'm still weary as to how they're handling personal data. is it all going to be accumulated under the 30+ year holding period they hold all their search records towards? has anyone checked the chrome browser's privacy policy? ever since i found out that google harvests all data that they can gather i just can't trust them blind anymore.
EDIT:http://gears.google.com/chrome/intl/en/privacy.html

In addition, some Google Chrome features send limited additional information to Google:

Sites that you visit using Google Chrome will automatically receive standard log information similar to that received by Google.
i know it's nothing different than firefox, but it's just another way to have non computer minded people to send their personal information to google for it's adsense services.
tl;dr: more "directed" advertising.

Ok, I'm not computer savvy at all. So could someone explain to me what the "beta" reference is about? The last thing I ever remember with that name was a video tape system that got beat out by VHS. LOL, I know, now I'm showing my age!!

BETA is unfinished software, it's still in the testing stages.

In essence, it's a fancy word for a preview.

beta is geek speak for "testing it out. don't blame us if it breaks"
it's a catchphrase invented by microsoft back in the 90's.
so, like the 90's, old catchphrases aren't cool anymore so now they use the term "sp"

Ok, well Google just won in my book.

I just discovered incognito mode(ctrl + shift + n), which opens up a separate browser that does not collect cookies, or keep any information.

In other words, Google just created the first browser with a 'porn mode' build in!

Hehe, it's also good to hide any evidence of TB/DL-ism from nosy parents.

I just downloaded Google Chrome about an hour ago and I love it too. It's faster than even Mozilla Firefox and it's more clean-cut.

I don't mind it. It's featureless, but almost as fast as Opera; so I'm keen to give it an extended look-into.
