I gave Galaxy a play-through awhile back for shits and giggles, and it really was a lot of fun. At certain points, the platforming does get a tad clunky and overly-twitchy, but the mastery of the third dimension present in the game is positively amazing both to the eye and the thumbs. (or, given the wiimote, I guess the... wrist?)

That being said, when it comes to mario games for the wii, I don't suppose I could toss in my support for Super Paper Mario? That would be the game from which my avatar and name gain their origin. It really is quite a fun game, albeit weaker than their two predecessors in the series.

Anyways about the graphics of this new mario game walk up to a wall and look directly at it and you will see that its actually very ugly. The camera is zoomed out so you can't tell so they purposely cut corners but really its not a big deal. I bought the game as soon as it came out, as soon as I beat the story mode I didn't bother playing it again. Now it just sits there hoping someone freaking plays it. The storyline did make me nearly cry at more then one point.

Also if you ask why I don't sell it since I might not play it again. Well I am a gamer, I never sell games back to stores when they turn around and sell it back at 30-70% the rate they sold it to me. I also very rarely trade video games with people.

Now playing: Bright Eyes - Touch
via FoxyTunes
Have that same problem with Super Mario Sunshine, as soon as I beaten the game I didn't bother playing it again and the only reason why I went back playing Super Mario 64 after I beaten it, was to get all the star....Only the old Super Mario games, I can go back and replay them over and over again...

I still play SMB3 on a monthly basis on my Wii, of course I still never beat world 8 sadly. Anyways with super mario brothers and super mario brothers 3 (the top two mario platformer based games ever made in my view) you could do two player. There was no two player modes in Mario 64, Sunshine nor Galaxy.
Well Galaxy does let the 2nd person shoot star bits to stun enemy's and you can make mario jump by pointing at him but that's ALL it is.

That's not full two players in my eyes since one person will still be controlling 98% of the action.

Super Mario Galaxy has the same abbreviation as Sub-Machine Gun

I have no idea why I am so amused by this.

I haven't even seen Yoshi yet, but I'm only half-way through the game.

Yoshi isn't even in SMG, or if he is you can not use him for anything like you did in past Mario games. However there are still fun things to do with certain objects. I beat the story mode and got about 60% of the stars.
