I gave Galaxy a play-through awhile back for shits and giggles, and it really was a lot of fun. At certain points, the platforming does get a tad clunky and overly-twitchy, but the mastery of the third dimension present in the game is positively amazing both to the eye and the thumbs. (or, given the wiimote, I guess the... wrist?)
That being said, when it comes to mario games for the wii, I don't suppose I could toss in my support for Super Paper Mario? That would be the game from which my avatar and name gain their origin. It really is quite a fun game, albeit weaker than their two predecessors in the series. |

I still play SMB3 on a monthly basis on my Wii, of course I still never beat world 8 sadly. Anyways with super mario brothers and super mario brothers 3 (the top two mario platformer based games ever made in my view) you could do two player. There was no two player modes in Mario 64, Sunshine nor Galaxy.
Well Galaxy does let the 2nd person shoot star bits to stun enemy's and you can make mario jump by pointing at him but that's ALL it is. That's not full two players in my eyes since one person will still be controlling 98% of the action. |
