I got a fresh 1000w into my server. 4 hard drives, a high voltage processor, and two high-demand fans. Yeah, I need it. But someone with 1 hard drive, a stock, standard C2D (or less!), basic, generic PCI cards, basic fans, etc, should only need 400w or less.

Exclamation Update!

Ok an update for everyone.

Well I took my computer apart on Friday and cleaned it out realy well and in the process of getting everyting hooked up again I fried the memory slots on my motherboard. Let this be a leason to you, when your working with computers make sure that you are standing on a hard surface like tile and not carpet because stadic electrisity and computer parts don't mix!

So my parents and brother decided to buy me a new computer and I should have it in 2-3 weeks so in the mean time I will be using my moms computer, so I won't be posting that much but I will still be around.

So unforchanetly for my fans there is a good chance that the next chapter of Brothers won't come intil mid September.

Were you using an anti-static strap? If you don't have one you should get one. You can get them at places like RadioShack easily. I use an anti-static mat and anti-static strap on carpet and don't have anymore problems with static. I did that same thing when I was 15-16, I fried a motherboard because I was working on a computer on carpet without any protection against static. Static and computers sure don't mix, which does suck.

I hold on to an unpainted surface, the back of the case. I hear it has to be unpainted, works for me even when I'm not being all that careful.
