Well I just installed my new video card. Its a Nvidia 8800 GT with 512 MB of RAM and its "super clocked". I just ran Doom 3 maxed out, HL2:EP2 maxed out. All my games are able to be maxed out at 1280x1024 res and its not even really slowing down the 8800 or my 2.2Ghz processor.
So anyways I plan on getting Call Of Duty 4 and Mass Effect. BTW my old card is built in Geforce 6100. Its sort of like going from a 1950's ford car to a new 2008 ford. Oh the new PSU is 500 watts and I needed a new one so I could get a PCI Express power cord (For the video card) also the video card is pretty long but it fit into my gateway. |

Anyways the 9800 GPU's are not as good in quality/price ratio unlike the 8800's are. I am fine with my 8800 GT the highest price is not always better. Anyways the most specs I give out that the ones thats needed for video games since those are the most intensive programs I'll ever run on a computer I think. 2.2 GHz Dual core AMD 4200+ processor. 2 GB DDR Dual Channel RAM EVGA 8800 GT "Super clocked" (over clocked by EVGA it runs at 50.8 C while in normal desktop apps, 60.8 C in Video Games such as UT3 and Half Life 2 Episode 2) 500 watt OCZ PSU |
