vBulletin; what hacks work, what don't? (for vB 3.7, not just for ADISC)

I recently came across a load of hacks and mods for vB. This said collection was made about 4-8 weeks ago. Now, I was wondering if there are any things to look out for to know wither or not the hacks will work or not.

Any suggestions?

The best ways are:
(1) Check the hack info page on vBulletin.org or whatever site the hack was posted on.
(2) Check the comments on the hack, most recent first.
(3) Ask the author.
(4) Check if it imports cleanly, has plugins which use current hooks, etc.
(5) Make sure that you have set things up to get an email upon security token errors. You will very quickly find out if it is compatible that way.
