Post Cheapest and fastest Computer?

I really need a new computer; right now i do EVERYTHING on a slow Compaq Presario F700 laptop. Plus, i'm into programming and modding and games and everything else and I have so much on it it's incredibly slow. So, I was just wondering, is there a really cheap computer ( laptop or desktop, right now I don't really care) with really high specs, or a place to get one cheaper?
I've been saving up for months, but all i have is $200 and it would help to be cheap so it won't take forever 2 save up.

Your best off building one yourself. I pretty nice mid/high-end computer can be built yourself for around $500-600.

Barebones kit, nice and cheap. But you won't be able to get much of a gaming computer for 200 bucks. Also don't get laptops, even gaming laptops. They are next to impossible to upgrade when talking graphics and stuff.

Some specs to fallow if you want fast running games, video card with higher than 700 mb Ram, at least 1 gigabyte ram, and a processor that is dual core and runs at higher than 1.5 ghz. Plus a DVD drive that is x8 speed or higher.

I am a modder myself, so I know what kind of fast your needing for modding higher end games.

EDIT: Also this will cost around 5 to 6 hundred bucks like mm3 said.

Very smart call. I built mine. Well, my dad and brother told me what to do, and i did it lol. It definitely is a lot cheaper, and i now have a MAJOR gaming computer.

Yeah, laptops kinda suck. they are portable, but hard to mod yourself. Plus, any laptop that has specs high enough for what i need is going to be so heavy and/or power inefficient there's really no point.

The one i have now only works for about an hour at the most unplugged even after a full charge.

This. Newegg is a great place to order all the parts you need too, they have awesome prices for nearly every PC part you can think of. It's also a great learning experience too, the more you know of computers are put together and work you are considerably less likely of someone trying to actively screw you over when they are selling or fixing a PC.
