Okay, I'm really bothered by what happened today behind the scenes. I don't care if it's improper to post it. Look at this shit I lost rep for:

One for my Green Thread (now deleted) for "spam".
One here for "enough already".
One here for "That's not a story!" (later made neutral by Moo)
One here for "chan reference". (WAY TO HIT MY POINT HOME MORON)
THREE for the "tons of fiber+sleeping pills" thread, saying "too much spam lately" (-2) and one for "dammit, listen to people and stop being a mean spammer" (-1)
And this last one (-2) just now, for "spamming", which was the final straw.

Now before you say "report it to the mods", let me be blunt. I'm sick and tired of this stupid shit. Some of these I don't even have to explain, especially the last case, and some of them, maybe I should have explained better in the post what I meant. I'm not asking anything of anyone, I'm not asking you to read my posts. All I'm asking is that you stop negging me for stupid nit picky reasons and God DAMN IT if you MORONS would stop being so heavy on the negative rep.

Priest doesn't deserve half or even three quarters of the negatives he's received. Neither of us care about VIP status. Neither of us care about the fact that you don't like us. But why do you have to go beyond the line and attack us?

I dare all of the cowards who negged me today to step forward and explain themselves.

Our accounts, whereas the genuine spammers and simpletons of ADISC are left alone to butt heads with each other.

I'm not going to expand further on Points grievances; I have my own complaints, some coinciding with Points others not.

From [i][B]my[/B][/i] perspective ADISC has become a parody of itself thus I rarely get angry for negs now, I find it laughably pathetic, particularly so when an ''insulting'' comment is left alongside said negs.

If anyone had any legitimate complaints about my posts they were quite able to contact me via PM, instead they opted to cowardly give negs most of which are entirely unrelated, overly vague or juvenile, for example calling me an 'asshole' etc... doesn't deter me from posting, it only encourages me to demonstrate how moronic you actually are

If it weren't for hypocrisies sake I [I]could[/I] neg posts [B][I]I[/I][/B] find to be stupid or spam, they'd be no end in sight, but I don't because I have testicles

Priest, I understand what you mean about ADISC becoming a parody. I don't believe it to the extent that you do, but I know a bit of how you feel. ADISC is feeling a bit off lately, but I personally think it'll rise up in the end.

To be honest, I feel that Point Blanch deserves a bit of the neg that he's gotten, simply because he's overdone it lately. If the first one that he got didn't say something, then the rest should have.

I didn't neg him myself because I know (at least I hope) that he's just being himself, and to him, it isn't spamming. But in the end, other people saw it as spamming, and the neg should have told him that and enticed him to stop.

You on the other hand, Priest, haven't done anything neg worthy, as far as I've noticed. I'm not sure what happened that's got you upset...

Omg grow the fuck up, Point. You should have known that no one was going to put up with your shit. For crying out load, you were basically spamming every thread you post in and creating thread that had no meaning what so ever (green, red, fun and games, etc.). As for the "*chan reference" you should had known by now that anything dealing with *chan is against the rules, and you would have gotten neg rep anyway for it, so don't bitch about it. All and all, you should be happy that Moo only moderated your ass instead of banning you like he did with ayanna.

As for Priest, I call you an asshole like 2 weeks ago, get the fuck over it already. Whatever you do to me (using one of my comment as a signature, using a doodle of my as a way to spam the site) isn't going to effect me because I don't give a shit.

BTW Point, I'm the one who give you the -2 for spamming for A.) You were spamming with a pointless post and B.) for being a dick to WraithFireorca for asking a simple question. The funny things is that in all my time being here, I only given out neg rep four different times and your the first person that I given a -2 rep to so you should be happy about that.

Listen, point. I'll put it to you bluntly: You're one of the reasons why this forum is becoming a parody of what it used to be.
I have no problems with someone taking the piss out of things or people - it provides for a good laugh and points a finger at negative aspects and problems in a humorous way. But it has to be in moderation, and it has to be for a purpose. Your behavior lacks both things. For instance, in FullMetal's "I was babied"-thread your contribution was "Nude pics please!". You managed to derail that thread from a well-written, on-topic account of his experience to a bad joke. I can see the joke in it if a newbie comes in claims he was babied and all that, but FullMetal is a well-respected, long-time member of this forum, and you knew he was telling the truth. So your post showed a complete and utter disrespect for FullMetal and the purpose of this forum.
In other words: If you poke fun of stupid, Deeker-like threads, it's well in the TBDL/ADISC-spirit. If you poke fun of mature, reasonable and on-topic discussions, you're destroying the forum! I still don't quite share Moo's disgust with the *chan-people, but the more often I find certain people ruining what other people hold dearly (like this forum by spamming threads with useless crap), the more I understand why he doesn't want *chan-references or memes on this site.
You, point, said in some thread that you were "testing the waters on how far you can go with spamming" (or something to that extend), and that makes me wonder what your intentions are on this forum. Are you trying to start a point-chan that raids ADISC? In that case you shouldn't be surprised if people who hold ADISC dearly strike you down with neg rep or bans!

I'll give you this advice: Look into yourself and ask yourself if you want to destroy this forum from the inside like a *chan-group, or if you can find it in you to adjust your behavior to the audience of ADISC. Remember that the audience and general circumstances have changed over the past 2 years with the influx of so many new users, and I'm afraid that requires adaption from all of us. As CHarlie pointed out, your contributions are valuable or funny, but as with alcohol, it's possible to have too much of it and you have to know when to stop and switch back to water for a while!

I don't even know where to start with responding, so I'll go top-down. I talked to Trevor on IRC and he's the only person who's made any sense about all this.

Mesmerale: I appreciate that you figured it was just me being myself, because, uh, that was it. Lately I've been laying on the abstract humor really thick and nobody understands what I'm talking about, except the people who know me personally. What everyone takes for spam actually makes sense if you put your gun back in its holster for one second.

Night: You really don't deserve to have the power of a -2 if you're going to abuse the system. Which you did. I really didn't think you were such a vehemently angry person but I guess you've shown in the best way possible. Also, I was making a joke directly to Fullmetal in posting "nood pix plz!" because I know him personally, and thought he would find it funny. I quite obviously don't want this website to go downhill (I'll bite my tongue beyond that) but it's offending to me that you'd accuse me of trying to take out the website by reducing the quality of posts. Trevor said that ADISC had changed, and so had I... and so I had to change the way I posted. I hate commercializing the way I post by changing the style but if I have to dumb myself down to be understood (which I hate having to do) then I'll do it. I stand by my not spamming, but maybe the things I said were over-the-top. I'm willing to back off, but I'm not going to back away.

ADISC is bitchy as hell, I learned that when I went from positive 7 rep to 0. I made damn sure I didn't post anything that could be offensive to ANYONE for a long ass time and now I'm getting back on the wagon.

Im going to contribute to your rant, I got negged for... Complaining about the UK being on the "wrong" side of the road, I said if you vote for obama because he is black, you are a stupid asshole, obviously true, I got +2 for saying the same thing a month ago. Got one from saying people should be allowed to post semi graphic stuff about diaper stuff, one for saying democrats take away freedom of arms, which is true, although possibly offensive, 1 for saying a guy was lacking in sense because he put a diaper on inside out, (apparently it is offensive if I try to not make it so, but if you say YOU STOOPID then it isn't) And last but not least, 1 for saying if you think something is offensive I will change my post. (And the point of negging that was?)

In case you cant see ADISC can be very how we say, annoying as shit sometimes. Pretty much all of mine was neg because of opinions, which is BS.

Blanch is Blanch, he got on my nerves exactly one time, but then I re read his post and realized he wasn't really serious. Live and let live, everyone should STFU and go home, I don't like blogs I never notice them, I like threads better.

i've got to say, i totally don't get where night and peachy and dreamaker are coming from when they say point's posts are annoying. i find them hilarious. his sense of humor is random, but it's also sophisticated and satirical, and if you don't get his jokes or feel that they're "decreasing the quality of the forum" in some way, then either you're not paying attention or you just don't understand his sense of humor.

...which is fine. put him on "ignore" if he annoys you. but the negative rep is uncalled for. one of the main things that makes adisc cool is the fact that people here have personalities; it's not just a bunch of random posts about diapers, it's real people interacting with one another. encouraging people to dumb down the things that make them unique and interesting is undermining the very thing that makes this forum special.

no one should have to pretend to be something they're not just because some people find them annoying. there are personality conflicts in every community, and you're bound to encounter people you don't like nomatter where you go. the mature response is to just deal with it. attacking people just because you don't like the way they post is juvenile and has no effect but to create dramatastic meltdowns like this one.

sawaa, maybe the fact that you see things that way is at the heart of your struggles with this site's administration. as far as i'm able to tell, the site rules have nothing to do with what's annoying. after all, everyone is annoyed by different things, so if that was what the rules were about they'd be completely subjective, and they'd mean a different thing to each person who read them.

the rules are about things that harm our site, endanger our members, and hinder the free exchange of ideas. they leave plenty of room for people to get annoyed with one another; that happens in every community, after all, and mature people deal with that inevitable fact and get past it without attacking one another.

Point, believe me when I say I'm on your side in this matter. I've always enjoyed your peculiar humour and I think it's an interestingly quirky addition to the site - so I hope you take this comment as advice, rather than a personal attack.

I think the key is moderation. I know you're capable of well though out posts and to throw away your position on the forum like this is a largely wasted venture. You yourself have acknowledged that many people don't get your sense of humour, so wouldn't that be an indication to give it a rest every so often? In some regards, it's an unfortunate case that ADISC is a majority-rules community, but that's just how this place operates and to avoid an implosion of conflict, we sometimes just have to go with the flow of things - even if that flow does take us over a few waterfalls.

Undoubtedly, the site has changed for the worse in the past year since we became ADISC. I agree with Peachy to some extent that with the influx of so many new users (more than what TBDL ever had), the whole dynamic of the forum has changed drastically. One of the most difficult issues with change is that is forces people to adapt, or be left behind. As these new people come in under the new rules and new site mentality, they won't understand how things used to operate. Having said that, everyone has to change and adapt to this new system since, as it currently stands, we have no other choice except to leave the site. In all fairness, if everyone else is rolling with the changes, you should at least attempt to do so as well. That's not to say you shouldn't be yourself on here, but again, moderation and knowing when it is, and isn't appropriate.

Although, don't think you are a minority with your stance on this issue, Point. Quite a number of people have expressed to me (privately) that they feel the site just doesn't have that good-vibe feel to it anymore. Hell, this is probably the most insightful thing I've written in the past 5 months and it's not even a thread! I too have been lacking any real motivation to sit down and write something... like the sort of stuff that got me to where I am today. My posts have been sporadic and lacking much substance to them. I still feel there's been a huge downgrade in the quality of the site, although it's somewhat been better in the past month or so. Still, I think I'm growing bored and apathetic [shock!] of this site. And just like you Point, I get the feeling that no one really cares that much, and that what I'm talking about always falls on deaf ears.

are not making drama from it? They're flaming, pure and simple. The fact that the thread I neg repped was spam was confirmed when it was deleted. You also broke a few rules in the post and this blog (hence the moderation):
