[b]The Good:[/b]
-I've learned A LOT of English grammar and vocabulary, as well as expressions;
-I've learned about websites such as *chan, TinyURL and a lot of others that I had never heard of before;
-I've seen many cool movies and games that I had never seen before, like 300 or Portal;
-I've learned a lot of things about Internet culture;
-I've started fapping (:P);
-But more importantly, I've started having some sort of social life, which lead me to start being a lot more outgoing in real life. I'm still very reserved with people I don't know, but I feel much more comfortable with people that are in my class, for instance. Either way, I've started talking to people, and even though I'm a [i]flaming asshole[/i], it helped me being a little more social and less closed, which may or may not be positive.

[b]The Bad:[/b]
-I'm really weird and have an uncomfortable "secret" (though much less important that some of you, considering that I didn't start doing *B/DL stuff in real life);
-It's hard to keep my privacy on, for instance, my laptop (bookmarks, browser history, folders, accounts...);
-I'm too involved in communities and became addicted to the Internet, which is, just like any other kind of drugs, bad for my mental and physical health;
-I speak English too much and frequently use English terms while speaking French, which is my native language;
-I don't exactly know why I'm exaggerating so much, but ever since I've become more outgoing around people I know, I'm almost hyperactive. I'm not serious enough and it annoys a lot of people. So I can basically be very mature (like in this blog post) or very immature (mostly at school).


If I think of anything else, I'll add it, but that's about all I can think of for now.
Overall, I have no regrets in finding those websites (ADISC, FTT, etc.), except maybe for the Internet Addiction part, and the language one. But I feel that everything I learned makes up for the bad sides of all this.


On an unrelated note, I'll read my first journal in a sec, and I might just delete it, because I can't stand looking at stuff from a few months old. So don't be surprised if you can't find my first post.

[B]Update:[/B] Actually, I think any "serious" English forum would do for the English factor. I've simply happened to stumble upon this one first. I've also had a few years of experience with English, and I've started learning with an intensive English class at school for half a year.
