I still FTT every so often, though I wish the author would update the site. However, I understand how busy he/she is, as I've read through many of the updates over the past couple of years.
I admire a few artists, though I must admit a lot of artists need more improvement. Regardless, all deserve some credit for be courageous enough to publicly post their art on the Internet; we must all start somewhere, and the public can be quick to provide useful feedback.
The games are not particularly good, but I don't think many of the people who made them have any experience. Also, as far as I know, none of them have been finished. There are still good writers and artists at FTT. I think the lack of updates makes people decide not to bother.

Heyo,
I've gotten a lot of questions lately about the status and future plans of this site. For the moment I would like to officially state that with my return to the US, and my new job, and family and all that other RL stuff, I don't have the time to update this site every week. I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement to take the helm of weekly updates and at the moment I am planning to turn this site into an archive and gallery instead of a weekly 'sometimes news source' mumbo jumbo whatever place :P.
About every two years or so the place needs a rework to fit all the great stuff that the various contributers have produced, and in the near feature we'll do just that. As things stand right now, most new material is coming from FA, DA, FTT and other forums, and coming in daily instead of whenever I get around to updating. I'd like this place to be a best of the best once more.
Sometime soon I'll post my lastest stories (there are four) and be on the look out for some game and comic projects too. Things aren't going as fast as I'd like in the progress department, but life has never been so good =3. It's good to be home. For now updates will come out about every business quarter, when there's a good amount of material and stuff to post. Thanks for all the support everyone!

It's a shame the site isn't updated more often. The forum is pretty active though, but it's a bit of a hassle going through threads to find new stories or artwork.

I used to pop in to the forums every once in a while, but I met some less than pleasent people there, so I gave it up.
Ever since Carotte took over administration of the forums, things went way downhill. (He/She?) has a massively overinflated ego. Drove off the few interesting members by being a complete ass. Gave his/her friends a free pass, meant they could be complete tools and nothing would happen. IE: The less than pleasant people the poster above me met.
Oh, yeah, and you better not offer any sort of criticism on Carotte's art, I've seen what happens to people who try. ITS MY STYLE SHUTUP ITS MY STYLE IM NOT CHANGING MY STYLE SHOW ME YOUR STUFF IF YOU'RE SUCH A GOOD ARTIST. Sends his/her goon squad out to harass you until you just leave the forums in disgust.
Forum gradually got invaded by Japophiles who think we want to read the unintelligible remains of what was left after they murdered the English language. And I'm not talking about just the stories, either...general discussion got like that too.
The stories have long since stopped being furry, and now are just a horrible mishmash of animes. Every other character is named Cloud and is kind of shy but really outgoing and friendly when you get to know them and always loyal. I mean, seriously, go there and count how many DBZ/Naruto/Bleach/Random Japanese Ninja Anime fanfics there are.
I'm not big on fanfic to begin with, but the quality is just embarrassing.
I think it's probably been a year since I've logged in over there. There's the whole joke about furries and drama, and FTT just epitomizes how petty furries can be. Luckily I've found more intelligent company elsewhere.

While I do like Carrote's artwork, I pretty much agree with everything you've said in that post. I mean, if anybody here were to act like the "Less-than-pleasant" people of FTT, their asses would be banned in a second. It's barely a furry forum anymore. There was a point where somebody brought up the lack of furry art and stories on the site. That person was simply trolled by well established members of the site until the thread was locked.
Also, Carrote is a male. He just marks his gender as female to be treated like one. Really I only know about 3 members who are signed up to that site who are true-to-life females.
