I think it is a part of my personality.

I think without my TBism i would not be as trustng, caring, and sensitive to people.

I think of myself as kind of easygoing guy, who has a great sense of humor haha. I get told that alot.

My DLism has been an excellent coping resource. I don't know where or what I'd be doing without it.

Teddy I totally agree with you. My personality has definitely been affected by me being a TB, as well as being IC. Seeing that I have always done some TB stuff, I think it has made me a more shy, caring, compassionate, and sensitive person (sort of like a little kid, as you say). I also have had some not so good experiences growing up needing to wear diapers, as you can imagine. Those have shaped my personality too, and make me less likely to trust people and much less outgoing.

This is a really great post and it shows the kind of deep thought and kind of people that are on this site as compared to others. Really is what makes ADISC what it is. Thanks!

i agree with everyone who says it's pretty much an ingrained part of who we are. i used to wonder about how i could stop beig a dl, how my lilfe would be better, and all that stuff - but really that just led me to be depressed. i try to embrace it now, as best i can .

I'd definitely would be a different person without being a babyfur. Being one has given me perspective about how quickly I judge a person, and in turn helped inspire my passion for social justice. I'd probably be a much colder, narrow minded person if not for being who I am.

I don't mean to be offensive in anyway, and I know obviously you didn't know. But this made me giggle since ron actually made this topic on TBN before bringing it here. Though his topics are always thought provoking and a joy to read.

I think that my personality has always been geared to this sort of thing...

Well, I pretty much posted it on both sites at the same time. :p

Anyway...something I've noticed is that in general, *B's tend to see a bigger link between infantilism and their identities than DL's do. This makes sense, because I think DLism is more focused on the object of the diaper and the physical feelings that come with it, while *Bism focuses more on the emotional baby aspect of it. And, since babyfurs tend to push it even further by picturing themselves as an entirely different being, I would imagine with them it would be the strongest.

Of course, this is just a generalization. Some DL's see a huge connection between their DLism and their personalities and such. But it still seems like DLism is more of an outlet, where as *Bism is still an outlet, but maybe more of a constant thing. Kinda hard to say for sure, but a trend that I'm starting to notice.

In the past I never thought about acting like a baby since i was trying to act more cool and act rebellious and fit in perfectly to get alot of attension. I did like looking at baby things but I never had the courage to buy any so I jus started to act tough. Now after the big change in my life that lead me away from that rebellion had soon lead me to care more for other people other than myself. Then I started to act more childish after that. Now I wear diapers and suck on pacifires. So I never thought that I would act this childish.

I think it is, but weirdly. I something think I'm like those wholesome conservative suits that spend their vacation time at BDSM dungeons. Normally, I'm very adult and very distanced from anything risque let alone AB stuff. However, every night I get in my sleepers and snuggle my bear to sleep.

It's probably a good thing all things considered. I just listened today to my mom ranting about how immoral and depraved it is for me to have a bear or sleeper. So being so hard and male in the day keeps her at bay. But one day, all will be revealed, and she can officially condemn me to Hell while I laugh. It'll help make up for all her prejudicial moralist bullshit she subjects me to. Like how she talks about the Japanese as some perverse sub-human race obsessed with bizarre sexual trysts. As if what's right is defined mainly by one's personal cultural norms, but I say truer values are those less related to culture. Anyways, until that day I need to be on her good side, since I still live at home.
