question about wiki

I have a question about wiki.
If i want to add information to an article, can I write it directly on the article or I must post it somewhere and wait till it's approved?

For example: i want to change the "How do i get diapers" article adding how you can get them in Italy. What can i do?

You do no need any approval to my knowledge. As long as your signed in. Click on the edit tags next to the title of the section you want to edit. or click on the edit tab at the top of the article. And you can edit all you like. Like you would with a forum post you can click preview until your happy. Then click save. Edit done!
