Please Don't Register With a Hotmail Acct

On the old forum Moo asked people to use an email account other than Hotmail, for technical reasons. Nothing has been said about this on ADISC; could Moo or other technical staff please clear this up, one way or the other?

Ditto. I still use my hotmail account for this, with no problems whatsoever.
Was the only reason for not using hotmail something to do with the filter on hotmail would classify mail from ADISC as junk mail? (Even at that, my one doesn't)

The problem used to be that hotmail was spam-filtering out our messages.

This no longer happens (AFAIK) because :
* we now send mail via a different route/network, one that isn't meddled with by hotmail.
* I have something setup now so that I personally get each and every bounce message when an email sent to an ADISC user bounces. So I'm tracking down and fixing any issues that arise. Slowly. But I'm doing it.
