Eh, I disagree. I like looking through them for their old information. Plus, that would mean deleting many stories.

Why would that help? Some threads are locked and those that are considered bad enough are deleted, fair enough?

Maybe if we were strapped for space on this site...But we aren't...Plus it's like an archive for everyone, and it gives like examples of what to and not to do...

I think the reason they don't delete them is because it would create more threads because people could not search for a similar thread.

I say don't delete them. Some people like to look back on old threads and a lot of them are very helpful.

Don't delete them. I have been on forums when they do that and it is SO annoying. Looking for something you knew was there, but isn't now. They become locked when we don't want them awakened, but it doesn't mean they are still useful to read.

Stuff that's locked can be useful. Even the ones locked because it was bad because those can serve as an example of what NOT to do. Sometimes threads are also locked because you don't want new posts to be added (like with stickies) or because they are dealt with (but still contain useful info). Last but not least threads are auto-locked after a while so they aren't revived. Do you want all that to get lost? I don't.
