Limited Access??

Jonathan, you do not have permission to access this page.
This could be due to one of several reasons:

4. You might have low reputation, or be set moderated by a moderator.
5. You might be trying to access a part of the site which is limited to VIPs and/or moderators.

Are you kidding me? I was friendlily greeted by this message when accessing my ownprofile.

I've been here for years, and my leaving for maybe a month seems a poor reason to limit my access to my own information.
Maybe someone could explain to me in depth how this new "control" scheme is supposed to work, and what benefit it supposedly provides. I missed out on that discussion.
