Connection to irc://irc.blitzed.org/ (irc://irc.blitzed.org/) closed.
It's the same on both servers, Martin.

edit: Ok, I got in.. but my name doesn't show up. I have to use the nick "Chromos". How do I login in as myself?

No.. I logs me in as "guest".. I have to set my nick to "Chromos" to be myself, and it shows up in black, instead of blue.

Still you have to use:
/nick chromos

What do you mean with it shows up in black in stead of blue. Some clients use a different color for your own messages/nick then others.

Okay, one more question about Chatzilla... once i'm in the room is there a way to save the settings so I don't keep having to come back to this thread to type everything in to get to our server thingermerbob?

Open Chatzilla.
Click "Chatzilla" (at top left, next to "IRC").
On the thing that drops down, click "Preferences...".
Now there's all sorts of funky options here, so play with them a bit if you want, but what you need is on the "Startup" tab in "Global Settings".
Scroll down to "Auto-connect URLs" and click "Add...".
Add "irc://irc.blitzed.org/".
And voilą! You are done. Now when chatzilla loads up all you have to do is type:
"/join #adisc" and you're in!

I think that if instead of irc://irc.blitzed.org/ you put down irc://irc.blitzed.org/adisc you'll even automatically load the #adisc channel

Secondly I think it's even necesery - but if not I'd get it as a habit anyhow - to do "/join #adisc" in stead of "/join adisc" the reason herefor is that # isn't the only channel type there are also &, + and some others # is by far the most common but most (if not all) clients want a channel type character.

Ah you're right!
*edits*

You'd have thought I would have got that right considering I always type "/join #adisc" when joining... Oh well, I'm an idiot!

want to get on the irc without the fuss of installing stuff?

try mibbit.com! it's just a website that uses ajax technology, It also provides widgets for on website, I suggested it to moo (pm in the IRC chan, so I dunno if he ever got it) a while back.

it's simple, just say you want to go to server irc.blitzed.org, fill in the nickname field, and in the channel field, enter #adisc and press connect... works like a charm, without the use of java or something, so it probably can be used about everywhere, on every computer that can run firefox (It might run on internet explorer too, but I tought it had some problems with ajax technology).

I also expect it to run smooth on safari.
