Default View New Unread Botton

I've been having trouble lately with the view new unread botton on each thread and instead of going to the newest post, I end up back at the adisc.org home page. Anybody else?

Me too.

I guess he means the "View First Unread" function at the top of the threads.

yeah it's not a problem from the forum index: just the thread view. and it doesn't always happen -- just sometimes.

I think I see the problem. The link is wrong.
It links to: http://www.adisc.org/forum/#post30285 in stead of http://www.adisc.org/forum/view-new-...html#post30285

Maybe due to the new Search Engine Friendly URLs.

Unless a forum or other web-based system is designed from the ground up to support SEO'ed URLs, it's usually a bad idea to implement them because programmers hard-code the script filenames. This is from the point of view of someone who designed a content management framework from the ground up in PHP with SEO-friendly urls in mind and then ported a popular bulletin board system (not vB, licensing issues) to use this system. It was... pure hell.
