K, I don't know if this has been suggested before, i tried searching for it and didnt find a topic.
Anyway, How about a facebook page for ADISC? one of the admins could set it up, or a user, and select the option for it to be a secret group so that it doesnt show up on members profiles, if they're keeping their *B/DL ness a secret. What do you think? |

I would join it. Only problem is that I cant go on facebook. My parents don't approve of it, can you believe that? Lol, *fake manly voice* "Facebook is not morally right.." (its a very long story) Hehe, I might get on there sometime though. Once some other tensions are cleared up...

I don't see the marginal utility of a Facebook group. What exactly are we hoping to achieve? Generally Facebook groups exist either as notification lists (extraneous given we have a forum and we have no mass notifications anyway) or as groups to show off that you like something (which doesn't happen with a secret group, nor is this something almost anyone wants to show off). Moreover, relatively few members on this forum even give their identities out to each other. Even a secret facebook group means committing to sharing names and profile pictures. |

I don't trust Facebook to keep it a secret. They keep changing things a lot and do mess up or leave holes in the system where it's possible to reveal things that should be private. Too risky.
You could create another account for it, but that's forbidden by Facebook policy. |
