Lottery?

i was on this site yesterday and the thought a lottery came to me!!!!
again let me say this was just a thought!!!!!!!!

so as i was saying.......


what if we raised the donation goal like 20 dollars and every month that we reach that goal the admins have a lottery and maybe give away a pack of diapers, or somthing (nothing too expensive).....

What do you think???

It's a nice thought, but wouldn't that kind of detract from the whole idea of donating just "to do it"? We've been working pretty good without any incentives, so why change it? I voted no, but that's just my opinion.

well my response is that a lot of ppl here either dont have diapers, or rarely have em'. i know that it sucks when i dont have em, and i really hate not having them so it saves some lucky person the trip to the store (which is embarrassing enough) but it also helps raise more money for the site

It might get more donations, but yeah it takes away from giving out of love.

Also there's the problem of giving people the prize. Not everyone can receive things through the post without arising suspicions. (Also is there any law against a site sending fetish items to under 18s?).

I guess the lottery could be for 18+ members. But I still don't think it would be worth the trouble since the monthly targets are already being met (and exceeded!).

If someone can receive diapers in the mail, that means they can just order them of the internet. So I don't see the advantage there.

And the site need to raise more money, it make more than enough from donations. So no real advantage there either.

Besides, even if the site did need the money it'd be blatant commercialism. I don't think we'd ever sacrifice our integrity just for money.

I think it would be good for the people who can not obtain them so thats why I voted yes. Although after reading everyones post I can see why it would not be a good idea. Mainly because if you can receive diapers from here in the mail then you can order them online, still a lot of kids 14 and 15 do not have enough money to buy them because of jobless. Then comes into account maybe possible legal trouble sending an underage person diapers when this is technically a fetish site haha.

I voted no for all of the above stated reasons. I've donated to the site because I want the site to continue, and I will probably donate again (when finances allow) for the same reason!

There is no reason a 14-15 year old can't get together enough cash to buy a pack of diapers. As people have pointed out in other threads they can be purchased for as little as 10$ (US)/pack...not a great sum. All they need do is offer to do extra chores around home for a little spending money, or maybe do some yard work, baby sitting, carrying groceries, etc. for the neighbours for a few dollars. It wouldn't take many hours of baby sitting or shovelling snow/raking leaves/mowing grass, to come up with more than enough to buy a pack of diapers.

As for the online thing, if they are able to receive a package from ADISC then they are able to receive a package from anywhere. If they don't have a lot of cash, they can have 'samples' sent directly from some of the larger diaper manufacturers websites, or for the price of shipping (usually only a few dollars US) have samples sent from other fetish or medical supply sites.
