Chapter Four: The Dream and The Awakening
I was running down a black hallway, with strange creatures following me. I couldn’t make out what they were, but I could hear them calling after me.
Freak! Sicko! Weirdo!
I just kept running, but no matter how fast I went, they seemed to catch up to me. I rounded a corner to see Emily’s face, enormous, floating in the void.
“You’re sick,” it screamed, almost knocking me off my feet.
“Sara,” I tried to scream, but nothing came out, “Sara, save me! I need you! Sara!!!”
I screamed, closing my eyes and dropping to my knees.
Then there was a blinding flash of light as my eyes finally opened.
“We got him back,” I heard a man’s voice say, “Who’s this ‘Sara’ he’s yelling about?”
“Probably just hallucinating,” another voice said.
“No,” Came a voice I recognized. Sara’s voice.
“What? What do you mean, ‘no?’”
“He’s yelling for me,” she said, and my eyes and head were clearing now, remembering what I had done, “I know this man.”
I blinked, clearing my vision, and saw Sara and three men I didn’t recognize standing over me.
“S-sara,” I said, groggily, still trying to come to terms with the situation, “Y-you came for me….I knew you would…”
She looked worriedly at the three men and asked them if she could have a few minutes alone with me. They nodded and told her to call them immediately if I recessed. She nodded.
“Jay…oh god, Jay, what did you do?” She asked, tears starting to form in the pits of her eyes. I started talking, and explained to her the entire story of Emily and I, and everything that I had done at college. The only detail I left out was what exactly I had done to freak Emily out so bad.
“Oh my god, Jay, I’m so sorry! I had no idea that I hurt you so bad,” she said, hugging me so hard that my ribs started to hurt, “Is there anything I can do?”
“Can…can I stay with you for a few days? I don’t want my parents to find out about this. I can just tell them I came to visit you.”
“I don’t know, Jay…”
“Please? If they find out about this, they’ll probably cut me off! Just a few days, I promise.”
“Alright. I’ll check it with my roommates to see if it’s ok. The doctors will want to keep you here overnight tonight anyway.”
“Thanks, Sara. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I slept fitfully, still dreaming of Sara and Emily. I awoke the next morning to see Sara and one of the doctors standing next to my bed.
“Mornin’,” I said, groggily.
“Morning Jay,” Sara said. She looked oddly cheerful.
“Well,” said Doctor Stevens, “There are no traces of the toxins left in your body, so you’re good to go. Are you sure you don’t want us to send you to a grief counselor or something? We offer free services after things like this happen.”
“No thanks, Doc,” I said, gazing at Sara, “I think I’m gonna be alright.”
Sara drove me to her house and we talked about anything and everything that had happened over the past years - schooling, relationships, work, everything. Sara had struck out with a few guys because they all came on too strong (Like I did a few years ago - she didn’t mention that, but I knew she was thinking it.)
“So, how many roomies do you have?”
“Five. We’ve got a house rented near campus, and it’s really big.”
“Six bedrooms big?!”
“No, four of them are…uhm…couples, if you catch my drift, so they share rooms.”
“Oh, well that’s pretty nice that you have your own room.”
“Yeah, the privacy is great, and all the girls are really nice.”
“So can I sleep in your room? I can never sleep right on couches, and I’d feel really awkward.”
“Sure, just as long as we both keep our pants on,” she said, grinning a bit. I laughed and we spent the next ten minutes cracking jokes and generally having a good time.
We ate dinner with her roommates - one of them was a Culinary Arts major, so the food was great - and watched Shoot Em Up before heading off to bed. We got into our pajamas - I changed in the bathroom, of course - before turning off the lights and talking about nothing in whispers until we both dozed off.
I had an odd dream - I don’t quite remember what it was, but I remember that because of it I woke up around three AM with an urgent need to use the bathroom. The door wasn’t shut, so I went right in, and saw something I never imagined I’d see.
Sara was standing in front of the mirror, and it appeared as though she was wearing a wet diaper!
“S-Sara?!”
She whipped around, and her face went stark white.
“Jay! Wh-what…I-I can explain!”
I simply nodded, staring at her.
“Well, you know that, uhm, ‘accident’ I had after Buck died? Well, it wasn’t the first…or the last.” She sighed, sitting down on the toilet seat.
“I’ve had bedwetting accidents since I was about eight years old, but they hadn’t been frequent enough to warrant any medical examinations. Turns out I was born with some kidney disorder that gets worse the longer it’s left untreated. So by the time we figured out what it was, it was too late. It’s nothing life-threatening, but, well, now I have to wear diapers to bed or else I wake up wet almost every morning, and the laundry was just costing me too much.” She grinned slightly at her own joke.
“I…I…” I couldn’t think of anything to say. Nothing in my life could have prepared me for this.
“This…this is the real reason I broke up with those guys, I was afraid they’d find out and freak. I didn’t want to get hurt.”
“Sara…I think I can tell you now. I think I can tell you why Emily freaked out and left me.”
“What? What does that have to do with this?”
“Everything,” I said, grabbing the clean diaper she had left on the countertop, “She left me because I wanted to be her Daddy, I wanted her to be my baby, I wanted to take care of her the same way I want to take care of you right now.”
“Jay…I….I want you to take care of me, too.” She laid on the floor and I readied all the supplies. My fantasy was finally coming true. I took off the wet diaper and she giggled as I wiped her down. I put some baby powder on and she squirmed as I rubbed it gently into her skin.
[INSERT SEX SCENE HERE]
I taped the diaper up over her hips and made sure it was snug. She held on to me as I carried her back to her bed and laid her down, laying next to her, finally holding the woman of my dreams in my arms.
“I’ve been waiting for this, Sara, for a long time,” I whispered, kissing her.
“Jay…I think I have, too.”
THE END.
AND YES I KNOW THE ENDING WAS RUSHED I AM BAD AT WRITING ENDINGS TO THINGS BLARGHAG
