Hello! I'm finally posting this. Truth be told i just started writing this about 1 and a half hours ago if not less. Today i have been particularily motivated to write this application story and hope that everyone will enjoy it! The application portion was posted a bit ago, cough, cough, several months. If someone wishes to be in the story simply p.m. me do not post submissions here! I will post character names and their respective member names prior to each chapter. I apologize for taking so long but i've been writing some other things... And out of the groove in general- so here it is, my first draft of my story called "Upsetting the balance: The god who knew how"
Characters in Chapter 1:
Mandi- Mandelia (Princess)
Link- Quasi (Archangel)
Joas- Genbaby (God of Knowledge)
*Note: The poem is just something i decided to add, i'm not exactly a good poet! (Notice the slight changes from the actual poem- lol)* Enjoy!
NOTICE: I will be completely revising this due to me realizing that due to lack of sleep i seemed to have left several important bits of detail (Meaning that i would think of something but forget to write it down leading to impartial sentences, etc. Sorry for my mistake
NEW VERSION
Chapter 1
Twinkle, Twinkle,
That star just went by,
How I wonder where it went,
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little star,
How I wonder, why you’re gone
1534 RD Year of the Disturbance Month of
The sun was long gone and Shar and Selune ruled the night and yet the northern city Dalestrom still was active, many inns and taverns glowed from both candle and magical light. The new towers of the Froci, a wizard guild, shone even brighter and if one looked close enough they’d be able to see shadows of figures practicing the art of magic late into the night. Dalestrom was what came out of what once was coined over five hundred years ago as “Ten towns.” Those ten towns had grown into one city after the terrible wizard controlled invasion.
Despite its geographical deficiency the proud city still stood, and somehow even managed to prosper as a capitol to the industries of fishing and logging. Some say that even wizardry was beginning to grow large in their community- after all where best to throw a massive fire ball but into a barren land around the city? This city, Dalestrom, was now in midst of turmoil as for the first in its history the only living descendant was a female- to be precise, Mandelia Strongsword.
This royal blood who was to be crowned queen the following day; if nothing went wrong- sat on her window sill watching the city that she was to look after. The window was held ajar ever so slightly allowing a rather chilly gust to howl in causing her cloak to flap in earnest. Shivering the raven haired princess pulled her ashen cloak closer in to her bosom and curled her shapely legs under the cloak as well.
Mandelia shifted her keen stare from the festivities going on in the city below her castle and up into the sky staring at the various stars. The memories that they brought to her were happy but unfortunately for her those happy memories were of her father which had recently died. Suppressing a sob she wiped a tear as it came down her cheek. Her father had been warrior who’d gone through countless battles but was felled by a horse on an afternoon ride.
Deciding it best to tear her gaze off the stars she began to step off the wide window sill when a intensely glowing light appeared high in the sky. Amazed she turned back to look through her window and saw what seemed to be a shining star! Excited and always superstitious she put her hands and quietly made a wish. When she opened her eyes she realized the light was going irregularly and then it disappeared and another one appeared in the sky! Amazed she was excited yet slightly more skeptical when she clasped her hands one more time just as a thunder clap rolled over the ground. The sound shook the entire castle and the light above erupted violently.

Under that very same sky, high above Dalestrom a bluish portal opened and through it stepped an Archangel. Quasi, the strongest of the three Archangels created from Ao’s divinity when the realm of Faerun was first created. The Archangel looked exactly how any person might imagine him. A proud, pronounced face which housed the eyes of kindness and yet the determination that were determined to destroy all those who might threaten the balance of time. He winced as he a premonition flickered into his mind. He now knew for certain that his enemy would come to this very spot.
Knowing his limited time he began to shield himself from any harm that might be done to him. After a few seconds of spells he was satisfied and quickly called forth his weapons- a crooked wooden staff crossed with a silver sword with several delicate runes and a golden hilt with a ruby in the center sprouted into existence before the angel. Just as he snatched the sword with his right and staff with his left a slit cut through the air before him. And suddenly it swelled and opened to giving him sight to what appeared to be a library.
The next moment the view was obscured as a shrewd looking man with jet black hair stepped out his green eyes showing wisdom beyond reckoning. The man had a dark monk’s robe donned and instantly took in the sight of Quasi and then grinning at the tall angel who’s wings were spread wide and his long blonde hair floating in the air as if suspended. “Ah, you must be Quasi- I was warned about you. I don’t suppose you’re here to say hello?”
The angel dropped to a defensive position as if he was standing on the air itself, which in actuality- he really was. “You cannot break the laws ordained by Overgod Ao and expect to be rewarded. You’ve broken a very strict rule and you cannot simply continue to exist. Travelling to different material planes by gods, especially interfering is strictly forbidden. And the punishment is clear- death.”
Looking around the god Joas almost seemed as if the grim statement made by the angel had no affect on him. “I don’t suppose there’s any point in trying to reason with you- after all you’re a part of Ao. It’s not like I went and tried to take over those realms.” The man suddenly swelled and began to straighten his form now much larger and less hunched and in his right hand appeared an amulet in the form of a cross that radiated divine essence making the angel squint as both the amulet and the god both let their divinity radiate out in the open.
Outraged the angel shouted at the god, “You dare bring your entirety to the mortal realms! You shall be severely punished for this.” Standing up from his crouched position the angel raised his staff high into the air and called out for his guardian, “Ao, aid me!”
The god couldn’t help but suppress a smile as the angel’s face showed shock at the absence of the all-knowing overgod. “Surprised that your lord isn’t answering his most prized possession’s call? Don’t be too upset, my amulet will prevent any interruptions in our coming battle.”
Still speaking the god began to cast a spell mumbling an extremely strong word of power. “You’re sword and staff are the only weapons you will be able to rely on- Quasi.”
Relying on his ability to see moments, sometimes minutes, into the future the angel casted a quick counter spell immediately snuffing out the spell before it even sprung into existence. Annoyed the god was about to start a second spell when Quasi decided it was time to reveal his own divinity. Allowing his spell of suppression to be snuffed out he felt himself become stronger , his true power glowed so brightly that one might think that he was a star. “This is the end Joas. I shall destroy you.”
His eyes were barely able to stay open against the bright glow of the angel when Joas felt a powerful presence appear beside him. Finishing the last syllable to his spell he tried to jump forward while turning backwards to view his enemy but was late and his face took a shallow slash diagonally. The god let out a howl of anger causing the entire ground below to rumble as if shaking in fear of him.
His own blood was flowing freely trying to heal his wound but to no avail. Surprised at his inability to heal himself he turned an accusing and suddenly weary look at the calmly standing angel. Realizing the angel was casting a spell he spat a word of protection enveloping his body in a field of protection. Moments later the angel pointed his staff at the god and then there was light as an immense yellow ray sprouted from the staff’s tip and shot forth at the god.
The god had no time to think he tapped into his pinky’s ring’s power and leapt to a random location far away from his current spot. Looking down he saw the light fly forward and hit a mountain bellow completely destroying it. Shuddering he searched for the angel only to find a sharp edge coming straight for his face. Letting out a shout of surprise he threw up his amulet now in the form of a shield to intercept the blow.
With his mind panicking from the blade in front of his face glowing ever more brightly, it was no surprise that he didn’t notice the swift strike come from below- the staff struck his right leg causing several bones to snap on impact. Everything stood still at that moment for the god of knowledge, Joas. He knew his situation grave as the uppercut from the staff was so powerful that the staff was actually bent as it dealt its blow. He exhaled a trigger word as the staff began to fling him backwards and he disappeared to a place of safety far away from the blasted angel. His leg throbbed for it was broken in many spots he could feel bone fragments grinding against each other as he tried to move it.
Annoyed with the angel the god looked at him as his leg healed. The god was amazed at the angel’s speed and ability to travel so fast and not only that, the guardian of time was also able to cast at near instantaneous speeds. Convinced that his spell that he’d been casting earlier was ready to be released he clapped his hands together causing the energy that’d been building up inside of him to spew out of every pore on his body. The shape was a sphere, his body was in it and it was the only spot of safety was in his sphere of safety. The sphere expanded at impossible speeds so it was a nasty shock to the god when the angel appeared directly in front of him inside the sphere with him.
Letting out a howl of pure rage the god of knowledge was teleported
Sorry for cutting out midsentence- to be continued.
