How so?
A. shes a new face, john McCain is just about change as much as Obama is tough in a whole other direction having a new face helps convey that. B. Shes a woman, now even if McCain and her wins its just as historic as Obama becoming president. C. It can very well help Hillary supporters chose Mccain. I have no doubt in my mind that some woman voted for Hillary since she was a woman. Same goes for black people since Obama is black. Its not illegal to vote on sex nor race or age.
McCain pretty much already had all bases covered himself, all he had to do was drop a shocker and that he did.
