Working with Emma (If I remember correctly) while doing your signature bar I got a pretty good look at the pram. Well I was riding my bike to school a week or so ago... and I passed this old stroller. Looked exactly like your Emma, the green, and pink inner. It was in pretty good condition, it was weird but I wanted to take a picture just so I had it.
I'm sure anyone else wouldn't have paid attention to an old buggy sitting in the garbage at the side of the road...

Awww Mandi.....a shame you couldn't get a pic taken. I would have loved to see it and probably could have ID'd it, too. Though...maybe it's good I didn't see it and then start feeling very sad it got trashed.

It may have been a rarer Emma since they used to be sold throughout N. America. People are so quick to toss old strollers out, even when they only need a bit of cleaning or mending of the fabric to be made 100% right again. I personally know a man in Australia (not an AB) who rescues prams being thrown away. He refurbishes them and many times donates them to charities which help poorer families and single parents. He has saved literally hundreds of reusable prams or parts thereof from ending up as landfill. I've rescued a few myself found locally.

My husband (at the time) polished up the chrome...it was a BEAUTY! I think I have a photo somewhere of my granddaughter sleeping in it...I'll see if I can find it.

I'd love to see pics, Ayanna!

Sounds like your family did a beautiful job on the basket and carriage. The pram photo I showed in the "Post Your Desktop" thread shows two prams a collector restored. They're Silver Cross prams, which are still made. She did a good job making them look identical, like mother and daughter prams. They were for sale awhile back when I copied the photo for my Desktop, and I hope they were sold together. Way too nice to be split up.

I know how you feel when you see something like that Pramrider. I think most of us as AB/TB's feel the same.

Yeah, I sometimes wish I were small enough to actual *fit* a stroller. Not only in width, which I can with my present size, but also in height so as to be able to lay back, nap, and enjoy a ride again. It's a shame so many of our earlier toddler memories aren't retained. Toddlers look so comfy in their strollers, chairs, car seats, and so on...
